After the ballet, which we attended with our Tuesday group friends, we went to T's house and changed into play clothes. We ate lunch outside in the glorious weather, then headed to the park to play. It was close to 70 degrees, the sun was shining, perfect weather.
The kids enjoyed the equipment for a bit, built shops in the bushes (I am not exactly sure what they were selling, but there were shops!), and dug in the sand. And when I say they dug in the sand, I mean, they DUG in the sand. They dug a hole so deep they found water. The dug a hole so deep they were falling into it trying to reach the bottom. A big, BIG hole. Kiddo has been looking forward to this kind of digging for a few months. Funny thing, since he doesn't dig holes like this with anyone but his Tuesday friends.
Eventually they added a stream that flowed into the pit, creating a waterfall. Kutey's waterfall. She loves waterfalls. Very sweet and thoughtful.
While all this fun was happening, the moms were doing our best sloth impressions. We got to sit on the blanket and relax and chat. Tuesday's are great from bringing down the stress level. Even if I arrive tense, by the time the day is through, I feel much better. These women are good for my soul.
